Mark Adams, Vice-President, Corporate projects, Toyota Motor Europe. Director, Consumer One, Toyota Motor Europe
Mr Adams graduated from Loughborough University of Technology in 1985 with a bachelor of technology honours degree in Production Engineering and Management.
He started his career as a Process Planning Engineer in Rover Group, Power Train Division, followed by a career change into Purchasing in 1988 at Leyland DAF.
In 1992 Mr Adams joined Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK in Purchasing, taking responsibility for shaping the commercial policies and strategies for the first Toyota plant in Europe.
In 2001, Mr Adams transferred to Toyota Motor Europe’s Head Office in Brussels, tasked with leading the centralisation of Purchasing for Toyota’s European manufacturing operations.
Until September 2012, Mr Adams held the position of Vice-President responsible for Purchasing at Toyota Motor Europe, leading the re-definition of Toyota's European supply base follow the global economic crisis.
Until December 2014, Mr Adams held the position of Vice-President of Strategic Relationship Management, Corporate and Business Planning at Toyota Motor Europe.
Since January 2015, Mr Adams holds the positon of Vice-President of Corporate Projects.
In July 2015 he was dually appointed Director, Consumer One, Toyota Motor Europe.
Born in Derby, England in 1962, Mr Adams enjoys playing football, road running, golf, fishing and gardening. He is married with 4 children.
