Prius safest new large family car in 2016 according to Euro NCAP

New Prius has received the title of ‘Best In Class 2016’ large family car from Euro NCAP.

Toyota is particularly proud of this recognition, as it strives to develop ‘always safer cars’ with a particular focus on active safety, through the spread of the ‘Toyota Safety Sense’ package. This package was an important contributor to Prius’ strong performance in the Euro NCAP tests, and is the same as the one installed on the recently launched Toyota C-HR, and on an increasing number of Toyota models, as the technology is being made available across its range.

Each year, Euro NCAP publishes a list of the cars that have performed best in their respective categories. This is the second time a Toyota received such a title, with the Verso being ‘Best In Class 2010’ in the small MPV segment back in 2010.
