Toyota Motor Europe announces Executive appointments at its European Headquarters from April 1, 2016

Toyota Motor Europe (TME) announced today several executive level appointments at its European headquarters.

These changes follow Toyota’s executive and management rotations that take place regularly at global, pan-European and national levels. These appointments will be effective April, 1st 2016.

Toyota Motor Europe (TME)

  • With the end of assignment for Mr. Takeshi Numa, current Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, Dr. Johan van Zyl will lead the newly created Production Business Unit in addition to his current responsibilities as President & CEO Toyota Motor Europe. The Production Business Unit will include Strategic Production Planning & Production Control and Logistics, Quality, Operations Management Development, and Supplier Breakthrough Engineering.
  • Mr. Nobuaki Fujii, Toyota Motor Corporation, will be appointed Vice President, Strategic Production Planning & Production Control and Logistics, Toyota Motor Europe.
  • Mr. Masahisa Nagata, Executive Vice President R&D and Purchasing, will expand his responsibilities to include the Production Engineering function, as Executive Vice President R&D, Purchasing and Production Engineering.
  • Mr. Andy Pfeiffenberger, Vice President, Human Resources & Administration, will be appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President Corporate Administration, Toyota Motor Europe. He will be holding dual assignment as Vice President Human Resources & Administration. Mr. Pfeiffenberger will oversee in his new position Human Resources & Administration, Communication, External & Environmental Affairs, and Information Systems Functions.
