Toyota continues to top brand valuation
Toyota was recently named the world's most valuable automotive brand by Brand Finance in the brand valuation and marketing agency's recent 2013 BrandFinance® Auto 50 report. Starting from 2007, Toyota has consistently remained at the number one spot for automotive manufacturers in the annual BrandFinance® Global 500 reports (Global 250 in 2007).
Commenting on the results, Brand Finance Chief Executive, David Haigh stated: "Toyota has worked hard to rebuild consumer confidence, restoring its reputation for reliability, whilst introducing stylish new designs and advertising campaigns that appeal to a younger demographic."
In the 2013 report, Brand Finance recorded a 6% brand value increase to USD 26 billion (EUR 20 billion) for Toyota. The agency elevated the brand's rating to AA+ to reflect strengthening brand power.
