New Auris, new Auris Touring Sports and new Verso underline Toyota's product offensive in europe's key C-segment at the Paris Motor Show

  • New Auris and Auris Touring Sports lead Toyota's presence at Paris Motor Show
  • New Auris and Auris Touring Sports feature full hybrid technology, available immediately at launch, with class-leading efficiency
  • New Verso to further expand Toyota's C-Segment product offensive
  • New Yaris Trend, a new variant aimed at young, design-focused customers
  • TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Performance Line accessories for the GT86

Representing a comprehensive renewal of Toyota's C-segment portfolio in Europe, the new Auris Hybrid, the new Auris Hybrid Touring Sports and the new Verso models will make their world debuts at the 2012 Paris Motor show.

The new Yaris Trend and a range of TRD Performance Line accessories for the GT86 will also make their debuts.

New Auris

Representing a key step in Toyota's product offensive in the European C-segment, the new Auris reflects Toyota's determination to engineer more appealing, dynamically engaging cars.

It offers a bolder and more confident design, a higher quality interior, improved driving dynamics and further efficiency enhancements to its powertrain line-up — including the market-leading technology of its flagship, full hybrid model.

Reinforcing Toyota's commitment to bring leading technology to the widest possible audience, the new Auris Hybrid will be available from launch and is expected to account for around 1/3rd of all new Auris sales in Europe.

Installed in the lighter, more aerodynamic new Auris, the revised full hybrid powertrain will deliver class leading efficiency of over 1.5 PS for every g/km of CO2 emitted.

New Auris Touring Sports

The new Toyota Auris Touring Sports adds the popular wagon body style to the model range's comprehensive choice of powertrains. Wagon variants currently represent 25% of the mainstream C-segment sales mix, and the new Touring Sports will be stylish addition to the Auris range and the first wagon in the segment available with a full hybrid powertrain alongside petrol and diesel engines. Combining versatility and dynamic design without compromising loadspace or luggage capacity through clever packaging, the new Auris Hybrid Touring Sports represents a further diversification of Toyota's reknowned full hybrid technology.

New Verso

Integral to Toyota's C-segment product offensive, the new Verso is a showcase for the company's European design and engineering capabilities. The new Verso features Toyota's new design language with a clear family identity, an improved interior, a revised 2.0 D-4D engine with improved performance and lower CO2 emissions, and enhanced driving dynamics and reduced NVH levels.

Yaris Trend

The new Yaris Trend features unique exterior styling and model-specific interior finishes, textures and colours to attract young, urban-based, design-focused customers.

TRD Performance Line Accessories for GT86

A range of GT86-specific, TRD (Toyota Racing Development) aerodynamic- and performance-enhancing parts is now available throughout Europe for the first time. A GT86 equipped with TRD Performance Line accessories showcases the comprehensive range of exterior, interior and mechanical components available. TRD parts are not grouped into packages, and are each available individually.

GT86 Racing Simulator

Designed to perform just like actual car on a race circuit, the GT86 Racing Simulator is a fusion between a real Toyota GT86 and an advanced computer simulation system. The driver steers, shifts, brakes and accelerates the GT86 using the original controls. The simulator then uses a state-of-the-art motion system to respond to driver input and deliver an un-paralleled realistic driving experience. The windshield is a Full HD monitor for the drivers and a Lucas Arts THX Surround system is used to supply sound from the racetrack.
