Recruiting for Le Mans 2013 - Competition final

  • TOYOTA Racing is recruiting special team members to pursue a "hybrid effect" between the team and its fans
  • Over 100 enthusiastic applications were received following a recruitment drive via social media in February
  • On March 18 (20:00 — 21:00 CET) the online interviews of the 8 finalists can be followed via live stream
  • The two winners will be invited to the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans race

Having joined the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2012 with its hybrid-powered prototype racers, TOYOTA Racing created two new positions for enthusiastic candidates with the passion and power to encourage the team to win the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

Candidates for the "COOL" category must possess a logical mindset and a profound knowledge of the latest hybrid technologies. For the "HOT" category, the candidates should be passionate and cheer on the team during the challenging 24 hours race.Over 100 enthusiastic applications were received following the recruitment drive on social media. Applications not only came from France, the home of Le Mans, but also from 30 countries around the world including UK, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Brazil and several Asian countries.TOYOTA Racing driver Anthony Davidson said: "We are really happy and encouraged by so much support for our team!"Four candidates for each of the "COOL" and "HOT" categories have been selected as finalists and will make their presentations to the team staff and drivers on March 18 on a special Google+ Hangouts.

Their presentations will be streamed live online (http://ms.toyota.co.jp/en/wec/lemans/joinlemans2013) on March 18, 20:00 — 21:00 CET. The two winners will be invited to the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in June, and will report on the TOYOTA Racing team on location!
