Toyota Avensis comes out on top in J.D. power 2014 Germany Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction study in the midsize segment

  • Toyota Avensis achieves the highest score in the midsize segment and also achieves the highest overall score among all models
  • Toyota Yaris comes out on top in the small segment
  • Toyota AYGO comes 2nd in the city car segment, Auris comes 3rd in the compact category
  • Toyota achieves a joint 2nd place

Toyota demonstrates its reputation for owner satisfaction in the 2014 J.D. Power Germany Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction StudySM (VOSS). The brand finishes second, with its Avensis achieving the highest score among midsize cars and also the highest score overall, whilst the Yaris ending in first place in the small car segment. The AYGO achieves a second place in the city car segment, and the Auris ends in third place in the compact segment.

The study also reveals that new-vehicle owners in Germany most frequently cite reliability/durability (56%), "the deal" (48%) and safety (46%) as having the most influence on their purchase decision.

The 2014 Germany Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study is based on 18,288 online evaluations by vehicle owners in Germany whose vehicles were originally registered new between January 2011 and December 2012. The survey was fielded in Germany from December 2013 through February 2014.
