6 Hours of Fuji: Qualifying - Qualifying cancelled at wet Fuji Speedway
Qualifying and Hyperpole for the 6 Hours of Fuji was cancelled due to poor track conditions in heavy rain. As a result, the starting grid for Sunday’s race will be decided based on the best lap times set from the three free practice sessions which took place earlier in the event.
Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa will line up eighth in their #8 TR010 HYBRID while Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries start from 13th in their #7 TR010 HYBRID.
The fastest laps of the weekend so far were recorded in Friday’s dry practice sessions. Saturday morning’s final session took place in wet conditions before the rain intensified.

Away from the track action, a press conference at Fuji Speedway today announced TOYOTA RACING’s expanded partnership with MissionH24, an initiative to decarbonise motorsports supported by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest. TOYOTA RACING will supply a 3.5-litre, V6 hydrogen combustion engine to MissionH24 for use in its future prototype. Hydrogen engines retain the sounds and sensations of a traditional engine but create zero CO2 emissions during driving.
