Toyota directly employs over 26,000 people and has invested over EUR 12 billion in Europe since 1990. Its eight European manufacturing plants are located in Portugal, the UK, France, Poland, Czech Republic and Turkey. Today, there are approximately 14.7 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles on European roads, whose drivers are supported by a network of 28 National Marketing and Sales Companies and around 2,800 retail sales outlets in 53 countries (EU, UK, EFTA countries , Israel, Turkey and other Eastern European countries). In 2024, TME sold 1,217,132 vehicles in Europe for a 7.1% market share. A historic leader in CO2 reduction in Europe, TME aims to achieve 100% CO2 reduction in all new vehicles in Western Europe by 2035 and will continue to offer a full range of electrified powertrains to customers across the region with its hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery and fuel cell electric vehicles. &nbsp;</span></p>]]></pp:boilerplate><description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Brussels, 22 October 2025</strong> - To mark the 20th anniversary of <i>Serve the City</i>, a global movement active in over 23 countries, the Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) has partnered with the organisation to launch an enhanced version of the <i>ServeNow</i> app designed to make volunteering more accessible, inclusive, and impactful.&nbsp;</p><p>Serve the City mobilizes volunteers to show kindness through simple, practical acts - supporting vulnerable people by helping them with errands, offering company to the isolated, and more.</p><p>It’s a movement which enables compassion to to be put into action. Toyota Motor Europe (TME) has supported Serve the City Brussels since 2005, with employees contributing through donations and hands-on volunteering. In 2024 alone, almost 300 TME employees took part in the <i>Lunch 4 All</i> initiative, distributing more than 10,000 meals. Toyota’s support also includes logistics: a Proace van donated in 2015 was upgraded to a Proace BEV in 2023, helping deliver thousands of meals to those in need.&nbsp;</p><p>Now, Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) - a non-profit organisation established by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2014 to advance mobility for all through innovation, collaboration, and social impact -</p><p>has expanded the support of the Serve the City Brussels on the occasion of Serve the City’s anniversary celebration in Brussels. As part of&nbsp;<span> </span>action its commitment to inclusive mobility and community empowerment, TMF supports Serve the City expanding its reach across Europe demonstrating that the spirit of service knows no borders.&nbsp;</p><p>A key element of this milestone is the newly enhanced <i>ServeNow</i> app. TMF has helped upgrade the platform’s digital infrastructure, making it easier for volunteers to discover, organise, and coordinate service opportunities.
