Toyota rewards its best retailers in Europe for delivering the most memorable customer experience
- 44 award winning retailers recognised for providing outstanding customer service
- 2021 Ichiban puts spotlight on high levels of retailer innovation during crisis to maintain most memorable experience
Brussels, Belgium – April 26, 2021 – “Ichiban” in Japanese means “Number One”. This is also the name of the prestigious award which Toyota Motor Europe (TME) gives to each of those Toyota Retailers who delivered the highest level of customer experience. This year, we have 44 retailers from 32 European countries winning this coveted award.
Over 2,500 European Toyota Retailers compete for this award annually and the winners are those who excelled in delivering the highest level of Toyota’s “Customer First” mindset.
These 44 Toyota Retailers are our ‘Best Retailers in Town’ of this year and are rewarded for their fantastic efforts in making such huge achievements. In such challenging times, they consistently supported our customers by providing them with outstanding service and customer experience. In the context of COVID-19, they also demonstrated their commitment to society in helping frontline heroes. They quickly adapted and innovated the way they work and interact with customers, focusing on the human touch across both the physical and digital environments
This year’s Ichiban award ceremony will be held virtually on June 10 with the 44 best Toyota Retailers connecting to TME’s Head Office in Brussels. As one of the most important events in Toyota’s calendar, it will be given full recognition by Matt Harrison, President & CEO of Toyota Motor Europe
Mr Harrison commented on the crucial role of Toyota’s Retailers in the brand’s distribution business,
Toyota Retailers are our key partners and brand ambassadors and we will continue to work together as one team to transform our challenges into opportunities. Creating a memorable customer experience is a key pillar of our Beyond Zero company mission and we must continue with our retailers to strengthen customer lifetime value in order to become a successful mobility company
